Notice of Passing of Municipal-Wide Development Charges By-law #2026-114

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the City of Belleville passed municipal-wide development charges By-law #2026-114 on the 14th day of September, 2026, under Section 2 (1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O., 1997 c. 27, as amended;

AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal under Section 14 of the Act, in respect of the By-law #2026-114, by filing with the Clerk of the City of Belleville on or before the 24th day of October, 2026 a Notice of Appeal setting out the objection to By-law #2026-114 and the reasons supporting the objection.

By-law #2026-114 implemented new residential development charge rates while maintaining the non-residential rates which were in effect under the previous by-law. The schedule of development charges imposed by By-law #2026-114, which came into effect on September 15, 2026, is as follows:

No key map has been provided as the by-law applies to all lands located within the City of Belleville.
