The City of Belleville will be undertaking a rehabilitation of Dundas Street Bridge over the Moira River.

The project aims to improve the bridges condition and explore safer, better trail connections between Zwicks Park and Riverside Trail.

Detail design is underway to confirm planned rehabilitation work:

  • A detailed structural assessment is underway
  • Potential widening the narrow 1.5m sidewalk on the south side to a 3m multi-use path
  • Linking Dundas Street West trail to the Riverside trail, improving active transportation
  • Preliminary design and cost estimates for both rehabilitation and trail widening are being developed

These upgrades will develop a safe and efficient road and transportation networks for cyclists and pedestrians and protect investment in existing infrastructure.
