The City of Belleville is undertaking the full reconstruction of Forin Street, from Charles Street to George Street and Ann Street from Forin Street to Bridge Street East.

The existing sewer on Forin Street is a combined sewer (the storm water drains to the sanitary sewer main) and it is necessary to separate the two systems by creating a new storm system and replacing the sanitary sewer system. Ann street will also be reconstructed to replace old infrastructure and will include a new storm sewer to drain the Forin Street storm sewer.

Planned Improvements:

  • Installation of a new storm sewer main and catch basins.
  • Replacement of the existing sanitary sewer mains and existing sanitary services.
  • Replacement of the existing watermain and existing water services.
  • Complete road reconstruction to an urban standard, with new concrete curb and gutter, new concrete sidewalk, and new asphalt road surface.

This project will ensure safe, reliable municipal water and wastewater services and an efficient transportation system.
