The City of Belleville is undertaking a rehabilitation of the Moira St. West Sewage Pumping Station, located at the intersection of Moira St. West and Butler Lane.

Major components of the existing pumping station have reached the end of their serviceable life and require refurbishment/replacement.


The project involves the full rehabilitation of the pumping station, including:

  • Replacement of pumping equipment, piping and instrumentation
  • Replacement of electrical and controls infrastructure
  • Installation of a new back-up generator


This investment will help ensure safe, reliable wastewater service for nearby residents and businesses while supporting future growth in the area.

    A Project Notice from Henderson Construction, the Contractor undertaking the work, will be delivered to residents. Should you require any information or assistance from the Contractor, their Office can be reached at (905) 885-1939. The Contractor will advise residents in advance of any traffic disruptions, when required to facilitate the work.

    Project Schedule

    Construction was initially intended to commence in Summer 2025; however, due to long equipment delivery times, commencement has been rescheduled to 2026. The Contractor will now mobilize onto site in Spring 2026. Construction is anticipated to be completed by Fall 2026.

    We understand construction can be inconvenient. The City is working to minimize disruption and keep residents informed throughout the process. Detour routes and notices will be clearly communicated in advance if applicable. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to build a better community for everyone.
