The City of Belleville is constructing a recreational trail for pedestrians and cyclists within the Hydro One Transmission corridor between West Riverside Park and Sidney Street.
This trail was recommended as part of the 2014 Transportation Master Plan to provide an east-west active transportation route.
The trail construction will be phased:
- Phase 1: Sidney Street to Harris Court
- Phase 2: Harris Court to West Riverside Park
Planned Improvements:
- Dedicated active transportation facility
- Provide east-west active transportation route
- Expand the City's trail network
These upgrades will develop a safe and efficient transportation network for cyclists and pedestrians.
