The Transportation Master Plan(TMP) was prepared in 2014 and is intended to provide transportation planning initiatives and guide the provision of transportation infrastructure and services in the City through 2034.
The project was completed in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Process. The TMP recommended road and cycling network improvements, transit improvements, and policy level initiatives to improve transportation within the City. Since the TMP was published, the City has been implementing recommendations as outlined in the original document.
A 10-Year Review of the 2014 TMP is now underway.
Items to be completed as recommended in the 2014 TMP and included in the 10-Year Review are:
Complete Streets Policy
Roundabout Policy
Road Classification Updates
Pedestrian Policy and Sidewalk Strategy
Railway Crossing Safety Assessments
This review will develop a safe and efficient road and transportation system that addresses the needs of our residents and businesses.

The City of Belleville is finalizing a review of its Transportation Master Plan and is hosting a Public Consultation Centre. The project has completed outstanding items as recommended in the original study and provided a general progress report and status update of outstanding recommendations.

Location: Belleville City Hall - 3rd Floor SMB Room - 169 Front Street, Belleville, Ontario
Time: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
No formal presentations will be made and members of the public are encouraged to attend at their convenience. All materials will be posted online after the Public Consultation Centre.
