The aging Airport Parkway culvert will be replaced due to the structural deficiencies identified in the 2021 inspection.

Replacement of the structure is necessary to maintain a safe and reliable road network.


Planned Improvements:

  • Identified for replacement in the 2021 Ontario Structure Inspection Manual inspections
  • Precast concrete box culvert
  • New paving and steel beam guide rail


These upgrades will develop a safe and efficient road and transportation system that addresses the needs of our residents and businesses.

    Work is actively underway for the replacement of the Airport Parkway culvert.

    Removal of the culvert on the south side has been completed as well as the installation of granular bedding for the new culvert, centerline roadway protection and railway shoring protection.

    New culvert sections are anticipated to arrive October 5th and installation will occur the same day. Once complete, the structure will be backfilled.

    Work is actively underway for the replacement of the Airport Parkway culvert.

    One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times aside from two (2) weekend closures anticipated to occur in October.
