The John Howard Society of Belleville, with support from the City of Belleville, is undertaking the construction of The Bridge Integrated Hub ("The Bridge") at 1 Alhambra Square in Belleville. The Bridge is a low-barrier collaborative care hub designed to provide essential supports, social services and primary health care to individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction. The Bridge offers essential services, including food assistance, primary health care, mental health and addiction counselling, and vital connects to housing and social supports. Through a one-door, one-roof approach, The Bridge aims to ensure people experiencing homelessness have access to basic needs and the services, system navigation and advocacy required to achieve stability and foster recovery.
The City of Belleville is providing direct project oversight in support of a local consortium of non-profit agencies responsible for the renovation of the facility. The Consortium includes:

The Consortium, led by the John Howard Society of Belleville is responsible for carrying out the entirety of the project, including managing the building renovation and operation of the facility upon completion. The Consortium is also responsible for all financial aspects of the work and adherence to budget requirements. The City of Belleville is providing support to the Consortium in the form of a financial contribution toward the property purchase and renovation, as well as providing oversight during construction to assist with standard project processes and cost controls.

Completion of Phase 1 enables basic needs (washrooms, showers, laundry, food, hospitable space), mental health and addiction, and primary health care services to be offered. It will enable 24/7 service delivery and accommodation of the City of Belleville’s overnight warming center.
Spring 2026
this is an upcoming stage for Bridge Integrated Care Hub
Completion of Phase 2 enables full operation of The Bridge, including additional community-based services such as income, employment, and housing supports.
