FAQs
What is the Northeast Industrial Park Gateway Sign Project?
This project involves replacing an existing, outdated gateway sign at the Northeast Industrial Park with a new, permanent sign that better reflects the area and the City’s investment in its employment lands.
Why is the existing sign being replaced?
The current sign is aging and in poor condition, reducing its effectiveness and no longer presenting a positive or professional image of the Industrial Park.
What is the objective of the new sign?
The replacement sign will improve visibility, create a clear sense of arrival, and reinforce the Northeast Industrial Park as a designated employment and investment area.
Where will the new sign be located?
The new sign will be installed at the same gateway location as the existing sign, at the intersection of Cannifton Road and Adam Street.
What will the new sign look like?
The sign will be designed to align with City branding standards and will prioritize durability, visibility, and suitability for its location. Design details will be finalized as part of the project process.
When will the new sign be installed?
Installation is targeted for September 2026, subject to final approvals, procurement, and construction scheduling.
How will the public be kept informed?
Project updates and information will be shared through the Get Involved Belleville project page as the project progresses.
